Not in the U.K. I’m left to my own devices following a Mini Stroke
Came home with no deficits. But developed worse symptoms with therapy. Pt was too much for 75 year old.
Yes can agree with this . Hearing sensitive. Light. Outpatient therapy was too much. Made me worse.
Every survivor needs a Jennifer to support their mental and physical challenges. God bless all caregivers and advocates who support recovery
Hello, would you say someone 4 years post stroke is too late to get your hand and arm back. I had an OT that stayed on giving me ADLS while I was in acute care. Then when I was receiving outpatient OT she didn't want to touch my arm/shoulder due to subluxation. I still refuse to give up regardless of how many OT have given up on or are doing the very minimal. They all basically just taught me compensating techniques it sadness me to know that I could be in a different place right now in my recovery. Thank you.
I had Shoulder Surgery everything worked great until about three weeks after the surgery and I do not have Russ drop, but I cannot give a thumbs up and I cannot extend my fingers at the knuckle only at the joints. I can grip things just as you can my wrist I can’t move it left to right, but I can raise it up or down. My surgeon assures me that this will go away and 4 to 5 months, he says I must’ve slept on my arm wrong. What do you think?
In Australia, we are not allowed to drive a vehicle with a splint on. Stupid. I know, but I still did. Without the splint on it was very hard to change gear with my left hand.
I got a bad case of wrist drop from nerve compression while sleeping 8 weeks ago. It's now starting to come good.

I had a massive stroke in 2021 and was in intensive neurorehabilitation for 1.5 years. I was discharged with the ability to stand up and take a few steps, compensatory skill with a cane or leaning on the wall. I still have severe spasticity and nerve pain on my left side and zero use of my left arm and hand. It is very frustrating. I continue to exercise at home but hoping to find things that could help. I was told that I'll have this disabilities all my life but I don't want to accept that. I'm a permanent resident in Copenhagen but can't find too many gadgets here to help me. And yes, I also have very limited funds, so I'm researching all the time and hoping and praying. Thank you for these tips

How are you Now? are you fullyrecovery? i have Wrist Drop cause of my Humeros Fracture last December 21 2023, what is your advice for me? TIA,
How are you now bro
Wow, guys, great episode. I fell asleep with my stoke and been almost one year of stoke survival. I agree with this young man! What better way? I can't think of any...Talk to your Creator at all times. Have a relationship with Christ! Our care givers (usually or wives) are God sent. Your wedding vows are to Death do you part. God bless!
I’m also wondering how long this transformation took. I can barely raise my left arm. About 6 months since my stroke…
Mahalo. GREAT VIDEO.
Hi to everyone my name is Robert Collins and at Christmas I had a stroke it took all my left side my arm and leg and my eye so I have been in hospital and started to receiving got my leg and arm back and my eye but still got a long way to go 😊 I am on my feet and it's getting harder and my recovery is going slow and slower but I am trying not to make me feel down I no I will get better soon 😊
Great podcast, 💕
How long as this took
What is the facebook page forbBelieve? I found one but am not sure if is for the correct group
Insurance unfortunately is not regulated like it should be. You pay premiums for decades then when you need it you pay deductibles and they determine while sitting behind a desk how and when and where permitted to receive or not receive what is needed to successfully recover . And further live a productive life
OMG your comment about patronizing is absolutely on point. I originally went to a group that had a therapeutic who told me over and over I wasn’t ready for what I thought should be next step, she would tell me you’re not ready , I finally said to her isn’t that what you’re supposed to be doing? Getting me ready?
I work in an inpatient neuro rehab. Wish patients were able to stay longer before going home but I still see a lot of amazing recoveries.
Can you ship to South America?
how long are they suffered stroke ? i am suffering formore than14yers already

I love the name of your podcast!! ❤
Beautiful and inspirational!
Is there anything new out there for aphasia recovery?
I am an Amerasian.
Glad to your help Michael and Jennifer Erwin. I am also into suffering of ischemic stroke , from Caloocan, Philippines
Praying, praying praying🙏🙏🙏
My friend had a stroke and couldn't speak clearly. She also had difficulty swallowing. I thought of something that fixed all that in less than a day. No kidding. I brought her some Juicy Fruit gum, because it has real sugar and the syrupy secretions you get when chewing are easy to swallow. Chewing gum and rolling it around with your tongue is good exercise for your mouth and you have better control when speaking.
My first time viewing your webpage and found it to be quite interesting. Yes I’m a stroke patient since 2015 and has foot drop. Still not walking correctly. I also didn’t have an effective therapy experience. I’m still working at it and will not give up. What foot drop equipment you recommend since my 2015 stroke that’s would be effective???
From personal experience, I have always gotten a good contraction with the SaeboStim One on my patients… have never needed to go up to the max intensity. When using it for acute shoulder subluxation following stroke (<6 months ago), you wanna use estim ideally daily for at least 1 hour… personal opinion would be have your patient wear it for hours+ (as much as tolerated) if they are at home. Regarding placement, the SaeboStim One is a “1 channel” unit (two electrodes) so hitting up the middle and posterior deltoid are usually the easiest and most effective… could even move it a little more anteriorly and do anterior/middle deltoid + posterior deltoid depending if you have the size small or large wings. Hope that helps :-)
I had a stroke during covid no pt and family abandoned me in the hospital now I'm 53 and stuck in a nursing home with a paralyzed lot side praying for death on a daily basis
sending you prayers that you can get support from someone.
I understand what you feel. I'm 57 years old also suffering from stroke disabilities but blessed to have a committed husband who helps me. If you still have your cognitive abilities, you are very blessed. I met many patients who can't even form heir sentences. I'll be praying for you. If you have money, try going to Dr. TOBInick in Florida. Maybe you can have a Healthcare professional to accompany you. God bless you on your rogress and journey. Fighting!
My family abandoned me in the hospital so ive had to do this all alone and this is after i gave up everything to be the caregiver for my grandmother after her stroke
I’m sorry to hear that and wish you the very best
I had a ischemic stroke 3 years ago that paralyzed my left side and i was not given any therapy so 3 years later im stuck in a nursing home at 53yrs old
that hand saebu gloves is to pricey😅😅
where we can buy that product
Hello, I noticed in one of your website posts that you mentioned the importance of targeting specific muscle groups, including the Middle deltoid, Posterior deltoid, Long head of biceps, Coracobrachialis, and Long head of triceps for shoulder sublaxation. I'm curious if the Saebo Stim One can be used to effectively strengthen these muscles. If it's possible, could someone provide guidance on electrode placements and a recommended routine for this?
I have been using my @MotusNova robotic hand device for an hour a day for the last few months and I have been seeing progress in my hand. I was surprised I could pick up the paper clips.
So inspiring!! How long did it take from flaccid state to what you showed in the video ? What are the noticeable states in between?
